This adventure will also provide you with a lot of training in the world of bikepacking, the mechanics of travel, as well as allowing you to discover Lanzarote from a unique perspective, in the saddle of your bike.

This was just a recap. For full Info please click here: LINK

DAY 1 | LET'S FLY

Let's fly to Lanzarote! The flight is not included in the package, leaving you free to choose where you fly from. On arrival in Lanzarote, a transfer to the hotel in Puerto del Carmen is included in the package. In the evening, the first information about the trip will be given. Accommodation in flat.

DAY 2 | BASE

In Puerto del Carmen we have a day dedicated to set up bikes and equipment, briefing and preparing for the trip. We will hold a workshop on the practical use of Komoot and a test of the bikes with a route designed on site by the group. After returning from the short ride, we'll work on basic travel mechanics to be ready for (almost) any eventual problem while cycling. This day is great to begin to establish a relationship between us, so that we can get to know each other and begin to dream about the adventure that awaits us.

DAY 3 | LET'S BIKE!

Puerto del Carmen - Graciosa | 65km - 650d+

We leave early to enjoy the first part of the journey to Orzola / La Graciosa, we have a ferry appointment to reach “the island that knows no tarmac”. This first stage works as an adaptation and it will also be useful for dealing with any problems to our beloved bikes. We pass through Guatiza to embark on one of the most beautiful dirt roads on the island, passing two fishing villages that must not be missed. The ferry will take us to a magical place, the small island of La Graciosa, one of the few places in Europe without asphalt roads as well as a marine reserve of great value, to spend the night in a private facility.

DAY 4 | THE ISLAND WHICH DOESN'T KNOW TARMAC

Graciosa - Tinajo | 70Km - 1400d+

We start the day by cycling the island of Graciosa, an entirely Gravel tour and an evocative experience that made the previous group fall in love.
By the end of the morning we return to Lanzarote, our legs ready for the climb that will take us to the most fascinating viewpoint on the entire island, the Mirador del Rio, at an altitude of 460 metres. From here you have a privileged view of La Graciosa. The spectacular downhill scenic road (with a few surprises that we will not reveal) will take us to Haría, home to the Casa Museo César Manrique, a visionary architect who influenced the entire architectural philosophy of the island. From Haría we set off again for the second ascent of the day, the spectacular winding road that will take us to the highest point of the entire tour, at an altitude of 570 metres, before descending to the picturesque centre of Teguise, the former capital of the island of Lanzarote. In the end  we reach the small town of Tinajo for a well-deserved rest in a private accommodation.

DAY 5 | VULCANIC EXPERIENCE

Tinajo - Yaiza | 60km - 900d+

We set off to enter the soul of the island of Lanzarote, the Parque Nacional de Timanfaya. By moving away from the coast we will experience a day of mixed activities; we explore one of the most fascinating areas with an intermediate stop for a hike/walk to discover Caldera blanca, the largest inactive volcano on the island; an emotion that cannot be missed. We will do mainly dirt tracks, with a short demanding stretch at the end but so impressive that we will forget all our fatigue. We will stop feeling like we are on Earth and float on a different planet, between the bright reds of the Montañas del Fuego and the black of the cemented lava, until we reach small Yaiza, where we will have dinner and spend the night. Accommodation in a hotel.

DAY 6 | TAKE IT EASY

Yaiza - Playa Blanca | 40km - 400D+

We like the wild but know a place fo real means discovering all its aspects. This shorter and easier stage will allow us to see some contrasts as we move from the wild Timanafaya Park to a tourist area. We head towards El Golfo, a tiny fishing village. From here begins the Ruta de los Charcones, literally 'big puddles'. This is the result of a natural phenomenon that over time has generated real natural pools, now filled with sea water, which line the road. We take a spectacular desert-like dirt road that leads to the remains of the Atlante del Sol, also known as 'the ghost hotel', a crazy project from the early 1970s that was abandoned without ever seeing the light of day. We take the rest of the day dedicating some rest to ourselves.

DAY 7 | THE GRAN FINALE

Playa Blanca - Puerto del Carmen | 65km - 1100d+

We set off early in the morning to enjoy the last stage, designed to overwhelm us with the last emotions of this experience. We go to the spectacular road of Monumento Nacional de los Ajaces, a volcanic formation that occupies the entire south of the island. We continue to the exciting natural area of La Geria, where  Canary Island grape is cultivated for a limited production of Lanzarote wine. A short stop at “Botega La Geria” to enjoy a tasting along with a well-deserved lunch. As Grand finale we head towards the Montaña Colorada path, a pleasant and enjoyable up and down dirt track to discover the history and nature of Lanzarote. We close the loop by arriving at Puerto del Carmen for a well-deserved rest and a toast at the end of the adventure.

DAY 8 | IT'S JUST A SEE YOU SOON

This last day in Lanzarote it's alla about organising the return trip, boxing up the bikes, and after a short walk along the seafront in Puerto del Carmen we will say 'goodbye' to the beautiful island of Lanzarote. Transfer to the airport is included in the package. Return by plane at the expense of each participant. Confident of having left indelible memories, we wish each other  a good life and many enjoyable rides to equally spectacular destinations!
